I had a dream once. I had a dream that I was a mermaid. Don't laugh, because you don't know the whole deal yet. Its hard to explain to air breathers but here we go, doing the impossible yet again in another Sinister VS. World challenge.
Everything was blue. Such a wonderful electric blue. I was naked, with no fins or clothes to confine me. I was as free as I'd ever been or ever will be. I swam.
The water was cool and like silk against my pale bare skin. My hair waved in lazy wondering cascades in every which way. they almost seemed playful-my venturous curls.
Little fish swam by in wriggling groups and they treated me as one of them. Small bubbles of air escaped from my mouth and quivered, silver light shining through, to the surface.
I dipped and shot in lazy swooping spiral patterns and I felt like I was flying... It is so quiet that the crash of distant waves far far above, remind me how far far below I am. Down with the sea weed and soft inviting sand. A turtle swims by, almost waving a greeting to me. He emits wise thoughts into the water like pearls of sugar that are there but then dissolve. I don't need them here though... All I need here are my fish friends and a ray of golden light to bask in.
But one day, I swam. Chasing the light beyond the surface of the water and my head hit something much to light for me. Out of the water and into a disturbingly light spacious place that allowed me to see that the light was shaped like a ball. I remembered this. Air. I didn't like it. I was too exposed. I wanted to go back in the water where it was safe. I would do as Mr. Turtle did and sink inside my shell...
But then I awoke. I went for a swim, but did not want to come back into the harsh air where everything is so cruel and unforgiving. Who would want that when you have everything you need just below the softly waving crystal blue surface...

grinding your teeth causes headaches, then you grind them against the pain.
